The right dental care experience can be shaped by multiple factors. In addition to having dependable support from skilled doctors and support from the right team, you can receive care that relies on modern technology. Our practice depends on advanced tools to provide evaluations as well as some treatments. In doing so, we can better prioritize your comfort while also delivering fantastic results!
Advanced Technology Used In Our Office
Digital X-Rays
Dentists have relied on X-rays for over a century to help plan the course of their patients’ treatment. Today, we use digital radiography instead of photography-based imaging, which emits up to 90% less radiation and produces significantly clearer images in nearly an instant.
Intraoral Cameras
An intraoral camera is a small, digital camera at the end of a small wand. Dr. Hansen can use the wand to carefully manipulate the camera inside of your mouth, to look at areas that are otherwise difficult to see, making your visit quicker and your diagnosis more accurate.
Oral Cancer Screening
During every routine dental exam, Dr. Hansen will perform a comprehensive oral cancer screening. Symptoms like lesions, sores, and ulcers can warn of oral cancer and the need for treatment. Your regular screenings will help you catch these warnings so you can seek treatment as soon as possible, if necessary.
CT Scanning
Computerized tomography (CT) scans combine several X-rays from various angles to create 3D images of your teeth, teeth roots, and jawbone. CT scans help Dr. Hansen precisely diagnose complex oral health issues, and plan complex restorative and reconstructive services, including dental implant placement.
Digital Impressions
Digital impressions taken with technology like our iTero scanner can create 3D images of teeth and oral structures for diagnostic uses and for planning services.
Laser Dentistry
Laser tools make procedures that affect soft tissues like your gums more comfortable. In addition to providing more precise work, they minimize bleeding and remove the need for suturing, which can lead to a more comfortable recovery.
Ultrasonic Scaling
Scaling is the process of debriding teeth of plaque and tartar, which harbor harmful oral bacteria that lead to cavities and gingivitis. Using ultrasonic equipment, Dr. Hansen, Dr. Hemming and all of our teams registered dental hygienists can perform ultrasonic scaling for quicker, more comfortable, and more successful dental and periodontal cleanings.
