Stop Snoring and Treat Sleep Apnea

A majority of people snore at least occasionally in their sleep. But for the millions of Americans who experience obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), snoring isn’t just an occasional annoyance – it’s a repetitive sign that you need sleep apnea treatment. Sleep apnea is a condition that causes you to stop breathing in your sleep, which continuously deprives you of necessary deep, R.E.M. sleep. After consulting with Dr. Hansen, we may recommend you take a sleep study to determine if you have sleep apnea, and how we can help you treat it so you can get the rest you need.

What if I Already Use CPAP?

Many patients with OSA are prescribed a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine, which keeps the airway clear and open by providing a gentle, positive flow of air through a mask. If you’ve already been prescribed a CPAP, then you may be able to use it conjunction with your oral appliance for even more effective results. Or, if you find the CPAP cumbersome, then we may be able to design an oral appliance as an alternative.
